  • The Smyrna-Clayton July 4th Association is once again sponsoring the Annual Memorial Tree Lighting Ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 1 at the Clayton Fire Company. It is the perfect time to show those around you how much love you have for them.
This year the ceremony will be preceded with a lighted Christmas Parade starting at 5 p.m. in Clayton.
Following the parade, the ceremony will begin at the Clayton Fire Company at 6 p.m. The Smyrna High School Band and the Sunnyside Elementary School Chorus will be performing. A reading of all names will be done this year. Light refreshments will be served.
If you would like to purchase Christmas tree bulbs as a symbol of loved ones, present or past, the cost is $5 for one name and $10 for three names. The deadline to order tree bulbs is Monday, Nov. 18
To order bulbs, contact Joanne Masten at 653-6235.
