  • The left lane of southbound Route 1 just north of Smyrna was temporarily closed due to a traffic accident that occurred at about 10 a.m. this morning, Nov. 29.
The one-vehicle crash happened at 10:04 a.m., near exit 119, said Delaware State Police Cpl. John Day.
A northbound 2006 Honda Accord ran off the left lane into the median and became disabled due to damage to the undercarriage and tires.
No one was injured, but the vehicle needed to be towed, Day said.
Although the car ran off the northbound lane, the left lane of southbound Route 1 was temporarily closed near exit 119 while the car was towed out of the median after the accident. The lane has now been re-opened.
