  • Registration is open for summer Smyrna Field Hockey Camp

  • Students can sign up for this year’s Smyrna Field Hockey Camp. Camp will be held at the Smyrna Middle/High School fields and middle school gymnasium from Monday, Aug. 4 through Thursday, Aug. 7.
    The camp is being held for all girls interested in field hockey from sixth through twelfth grade. Coaches will stress fundamental skills, stick work communication, and teamwork that is necessary to be successful.
    The SMS café will be open at 8:30 a.m. for players to drop off their lunch. Sessions will begin promptly at 9 a.m. on the SHS field hockey turf field. Sessions end at 3 p.m. The camp will be run by Wesley College head field hockey coach Tracey Short, current college players and former Smyrna High School players.
    The cost of the camp is $125 per player prior to May 1; cost will be $150 after May 1.
    Players will need a stick, cleats, sneakers, shin guards and a mouth guard for each session. Camp sessions are rain or shine.
