In an effort to assist residents in cleaning and maintaining their properties, Smyrna will have its Annual Spring Clean-up from Monday, May 5 through Friday, May 9.

There will only be one week of picks-ups. Town crews will pick up all items except demolition debris, tires and hazardous materials (refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners contain Freon and will not be picked up). Items to be picked up must be set at curbside.

This clean up is designed for items normally not picked up by the trash contractor such as items from yard cleaning, swing sets, fence posts, trees/brush, carpet, etc. not meeting the four feet/fifty pound limit. Furniture and appliances should still be placed out with your normal household trash for pick up by the trash contractor.

Town officials ask for residents' patience and cooperation. Due to the quantity of streets and trash to be collected, the crew is unable to accommodate special requests for pick up. Please be assured that the crew will devote as much time as possible to this important service.

All items set out after Friday, May 9 must be in compliance with the town's normal household trash pick up and yard waste regulations.
