  • Smyrna woman arrested on theft charges

  • A Smyrna woman was arrested Saturday night on theft charges after allegedly stealing jewelry from a home.
    On Saturday at approximately 7 p.m. the Smyrna Police Department apprehended Charron "Krissy" Deskiewicz, 38, of the 300 block of N. High St. in Smyrna, after a theft investigation.Police said Deskiewicz was taken into custody at her residence without incident.
    Deskiewicz was charged with one count of theft under $1,500 after an investigation into a theft that occurred on April 10. Police said the victim alleged that Deskiewicz was allowed into the home to conduct a home blessing as part of her business, Blessings Bright, and allegedly took jewelry belonging to the victim while inside.
    Deskiewicz was arraigned in the Justice of Peace Court 7 via videophone and released on $500 unsecured bond pending a future court date.
