  • Gov. Jack Markell announced on June 9 that Delaware Supreme Court Justice Carolyn Berger has submitted formal written notice of her retirement to the state.
    Berger was appointed to the Delaware Supreme Court in 1994. Prior to that, she served as a vice chancellor of the Delaware Court of Chancery and as a deputy attorney general with the Delaware Department of Justice.
    Berger’s retirement will be effective as of Sept. 1.
