  • Suspicious vehicle check in Smyrna leads to drug arrest

  • Two men, including a Smyrna resident were arrested last week on drug charges following a property check involving a suspicious vehicle.
    On June 16 at approximately 11:33 p.m. officers of the Smyrna Police Department conducted a property check in the 100 block of North DuPont Boulevard in Smyrna and observed a suspicious motor vehicle in the parking lot after hours. Police said officers contacted the occupants of the motor vehicle and after they were given consent to search, allegedly located marijuana, a digital scale, and drug paraphernalia.
    Dylan Stubbs, 21, of Holly Hill Drive in Smyrna, and Richard J. Moore, 23, of the 300 block of Arthursville Road in Hartly, were arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
    Police said Moore was also found to be wanted in the state of Delaware.
    Stubbs was released pending a future court date, and Moore was released after posting $215 cash bond.
