  • Smyrna residents arrested on drug charges

  • Two Smyrna residents were arrested Thursday following a drug investigation.
    On Thursday at 10 a.m. Smyrna Police executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Malvern Lane in Sunnyside Village. Upon searching the residence, police said officers located heroin, marijuana, digital scales, and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia. Robert Henderson, 24, of the 100 block of Malvern Lane, and Melissa Guzman, 20, of the 200 block of Maple Street in Smyrna, were contacted inside the residence and taken into custody without incident, police said.
    Henderson and Guzman were arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Henderson and Guzman were both arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court 2 via videophone and released on $800 unsecured bail.
