  • A man suspected in the theft of a group of Delaware Lottery tickets was arrested Aug. 18 by Cheswold Police.
The theft occurred Aug. 10 when a man, now identified as Ian H. Nadel, 33, of Smyrna, came into the Shore Stop convenience store on Main Street and, after spending about 10 minutes chatting on a cell phone, walked away with the tickets, said Chief of Police Christopher Workman.
The tickets were valued at approximately $314, Workman said.
Nadel was identified through surveillance camera footage that showed the type of cell phone he was using and a tattoo on his leg.
Nadel was charged with a single count of theft of property valued at less than $1,000, and then released on a $500 unsecured bond.
