VIDEO, PHOTOS & STORY -- The summer concert series continues Wednesday evenings at Wright Municipal Park (formerly Smyrna Municipal Park) on North Main Street through Aug. 22, with the exception of July 25.

The Town of Smyrna and Gable Music Ventures are teaming up to offer free concerts this summer as part of the town’s 250th anniversary celebration, continuing Wednesday, July 18 from 6-8 p.m.

The concerts will be at Wright Municipal Park (formerly Smyrna Municipal Park) on North Main Street, across from North Smyrna Elementary.

Here is the schedule:

July 18 – Steal Your Peach, featuring music of the Allman Brothers and the Grateful Dead;

Aug. 1 – Country by Night, country, rock and soul music;

Aug. 8 – Christine Havrilla & Gypsy Fuzz, alternative folk and rock;

Aug. 15 – Yellow Dubmarine, Beatles reggae tribute;

Aug. 22 -- Lovebettie, rock and pop music.

"We’ve been trying to provide a really nice mix of entertainment, both with original music as well as with tribute acts and cover bands," said Jeremy Hebbel, co-owner of Gable Music Ventures. "We’re also working to program a nice mix of genres. The goal of the series is to continue bringing the community together through live music."

Hebbel said the band Steal Your Peach plays "incredible renditions of many of your favorite Allman Brothers and Grateful Dead songs."

Country by Night is a Smyrna-based country, rock and soul band that plays originals and tons of great hits.

Philadelphia native Christine Havrilla describes her sound as “neofunkadelicfolkpoptwangrock," said Hebbel. "She blends a ton of genres together. Fans can expect top notch musicianship and wonderful original music."

Yellow Dubmarine turns Beatles tunes into reggae songs.

"They are a very popular act and we’re so excited to bring them to Smyrna," said Hebbel.

Wrapping up the concert series will be Lovebettie, a Smyrna favorite that has performed at the Opera House and Smyrna at Night. (This show was rescheduled from earlier this summer.)
