VIDEO & STORY -- Smyrna's own Chuck Wicks, now a co-host on the nationally-syndicated radio show “Ty, Kelly & Chuck Mornings," will perform a benefit concert for the Smyrna-Clayton Boys & Girls Club

As a fundraiser for the Smyrna-Clayton Boys & Girls Club, Chuck Wicks will perform a concert at the Smyrna Opera House Saturday, Aug. 25 at 7:30 p.m.

A Smyrna High graduate, Wicks first drew national attention with his debut country hit “Stealing Cinderella” and his album “Starting Now.”

Wicks has continued to engage fans with such songs as “Salt Life,” a celebration of his favorite way of life that put him in partnership with the popular Salt Life brand, and the poignant ballad “Us Again,” a Top-40 single which garnered strong digital sales.

He has also written songs for artists such as Jason Aldean and Frankie Ballard, and has been featured in the reality TV shows “Nashville” and “Dancing with the Stars.”

He’s now one of the co-hosts on the nationally-syndicated radio show “Ty, Kelly & Chuck Mornings” and before that was a co-host on “America’s Morning Show.”
