The Town of Smyrna and Gable Music Ventures are teaming up to offer free concerts this summer as part of the town’s 250th anniversary celebration, continuing Wednesdays, Aug. 15 and 22. from 6-8 p.m.

The concerts will be at Wright Municipal Park (formerly Smyrna Municipal Park) on North Main Street, across from North Smyrna Elementary.

Here is the schedule:

Aug. 15 – Yellow Dubmarine, Beatles reggae tribute;

Aug. 22 – Lovebettie, rock and pop.

"We’ve been trying to provide a really nice mix of entertainment, both with original music as well as with tribute acts and cover bands," said Jeremy Hebbel, co-owner of Gable Music Ventures. "We’re also working to program a nice mix of genres. The goal of the series is to continue bringing the community together through live music."

Yellow Dubmarine turns Beatles tunes into reggae songs.

"They are a very popular act and we’re so excited to bring them to Smyrna," said Hebbel.

Wrapping up the concert series will be Lovebettie, a Smyrna favorite that has performed at the Opera House and Smyrna at Night. (This show was rescheduled from earlier this summer.)
