Dave and Robin Bruner were crowned Mardi Gras King and Queen at the Smyrna Opera House Arts Cotillion Saturday. The theme of the event was “A Mardi Gras Ball,” a benefit to raise funds for the Opera House. The Bruners raised more than $1,000 in contributions. The large mask at right was handmade by Larry and Mary Koehler of Smyrna, one of three they created for the event, which were auctioned off to benefit the Opera House.

The theme of the sixth annual Smyrna Opera House Arts Cotillion on Saturday, Feb. 13 was "A Mardi Gras Ball." The event featured delicious food, live and silent auctions, a Mardi Gras parade, the crowning of the Mardi Gras King and Queen, and dancing to music by The Funsters.
