Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Anne McCue from Australia will perform at the next Cooldog House Concerts show near Kenton on Saturday, Aug. 14. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. The opening act will be Larissa Moore.

McCue has recently been included along with Bob Dylan, The Byrds, and Patty Griffin in the collection “4 Decades of Folk Rock.” She recorded her album “East Of Electric” at her own Flying Machine Studio in Nashville, inspired by the golden era of folk pop music.

Her album “Koala Motel” has been compared to “Pretenders II” and “Rumours” by Harp Magazine, which called McCue “confident, polished, smart.”

Rolling Stone said, “Anne McCue wields potent bluesy rock against her unaffected, naturally wistful voice.”

The suggested donation is $15 for adults and $10 for ages 10-18 and military personnel.
Cooldog Concerts are hosted in a private home with a specially-designed sound system.

Guests must RSVP for the shows, and they are asked to bring a dish to share. All proceeds from the show go to the musicians.

To RSVP or for more information, see www.cooldogconcerts.com.
