Beginning March 7, the traditional Sunday morning service at Ewell’s-St. Paul United Methodist Church in Clayton will be moved permanently from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with Sunday School for all ages beginning at 10 a.m.

A contemporary Praise & Alleluia service will be added monthly at 8:30 am. The contemporary service will be the first Sunday of each month, and will be moving to weekly in the near future.

Both services offer uplifting music and a positive, relevant message, but the for those who prefer a more modern form of music, the new Praise & Alleluia service may be just for you!

The pastor, Kris Schonewolf, is starting the new service in order to offer a worship option for those who prefer a more casual come-as-you-are feel to the service.

“Both forms of music offer praise and give expression to our faith, but while some people love traditional hymns and organ music, other people prefer more upbeat music accompanied by a praise band," Schonewolf said.

Chris Letterman, one of the vocalists, said, “It’s an awesome way to worship the Lord. There is just so much joy and praise.”

Another vocalist, Kathleen O’Brien commented, "There is something special about a contemporary praise service. It is spiritually uplifting, as if I have truly praised the Lord, with all of my being.”

If you sing, play guitar, bass, keyboards, or drums, and are interested in being a part of a newly forming praise team, please call Pastor Kris at 302-653-7280.
