Smyrna Police arrested two teens following an attempted burglary at Buck Algonquin in Smyrna on June 30.

At approximately 5:06 p.m. on June 30, Smyrna Police responded to Buck Algonquin, located in the 300 block of North Main Street, for a report of an attempted burglary.

Lt. Norman Wood of the Smyrna Police said the owner of the business was inside the building at the time.

Upon arrival, police were able to apprehend one juvenile who was attempting to enter the business.

Through interviews and further investigation, police were able to clear eight separate incidents dating back to December of 2008.

Lt. Wood said the teens had broken in – or had attempted to break in –six previous times at Buck Algonquin, and had stolen some money.

The investigation also cleared a previous incident at a residence in Smyrna, Lt. Wood said.

Warrants were obtained for two 14-year-old males, one residing in the unit block of South Union Street in Smyrna, and the other in the 3300 block of Arthursville Road, Hartly.

Both teens have been arrested and charged with numerous offenses of burglary, theft, criminal mischief and conspiracy.

The teens were processed on separate dates at the Smyrna Police Department and released to their parents pending later court appearances.
