The Smyrna Downtown Renaissance Association is hosting the 5th annual Firefly 5K Run/Walk on Wednesday, May 27 at 7 p.m., with registration beginning at 6 p.m.
The race will start and end at Sheridan’s Irish Pub at West Commerce and Market streets in downtown Smyrna.
The event benefits the Smyrna Police Athletic League and is sponsored by Christina Care Health System, as well as other generous local businesses.
Register early to assure getting a commemorative event t-shirt.
The race is timed by the M.O.T. Running Company.
Sheridan’s will host a post-race celebration including food and refreshments and D.J. entertainment.
Awards will presented to the overall 5K male and female winners and top three finishers in each age group: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over. Awards will also be presented to the top three walkers.
