Ballroom dancing classes will be offered at the Smyrna Opera House beginning Thursday, Jan. 21, and will run for six weeks. Couples and singles are encouraged to sign-up. The cost is $75 per person.
An introductory class is scheduled at 7 p.m., and an intermediate class will begin at 8 p.m.
Both classes will be taught by Dr. Patricia Woodie, owner of All Pets Medical Center. Dr. Woodie has taught dancing professionally in England and the United States. She is a Fellow of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance.The Ballroom Dancing classes will cover basic: cha-cha, foxtrot, waltz, swing, and rumba. Dr. Woodie is willing to teach whatever the dance level and interest of the class determines.
