Jillian Dawn Pitcher and Christopher Andrew Scargill were married on April 5, 2008 in the Gold Ballroom of the Doubletree Hotel in Wilmington. The Reverend Maleia Rust officiated the ceremony. The bride was escorted by her uncle, Walter Pitcher of Florida. The Phillies theme-based reception was held immediately following the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Lon and Dawn Fluman of Townsend and the late Benny Pitcher. She is also the granddaughter of Martha Berkheiser of Townsend and the late Charles Berkheiser and Leonard and Sarah Jane Pitcher.
The groom is the son of Tim and Grace-Marie Scargill of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. He is also the grandson of Sally and Maurice Cotton of Newark and the late Andrew Massarelli and Friend and Eleanor Scargill.
Maid of honor for her cousin was Ginger Kinnamon. Bridesmaids were Brittany Fluman, sister of the bride, Laurie Hammond and Emily Berkheiser, cousins of the bride, Maja Murphy, friend of the bride, Theresa Ritz, sister of the groom and Andrea DeVito, cousin of the groom. Georgia Filasky, cousin of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid and Isabelle Shulenberger, friend of the bride, was the flower girl.
Best man was Nick Iglesias, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Ben Pitcher, Ryan Pitcher and Lon Fluman IV, brothers of the bride, Bill Orga and Eddie Iglesias, friends of the groom, and Ryan Ritz, brother-in-law of the groom. Junior groomsman was Garrett Scargill, brother of the groom, and ring bearer was Chase Baker, son of the bride.
Jillian works for the Child Nutrition Department of the Christina School District as a USDA Site Coordinator. Christopher is an account analyst specialist with NRAI Services, LLC in Dover.
After a honeymoon in Aruba, the Scargills now live in Smyrna with their son, Chase, and bulldog, Emma Jane.
