Wendy Ann Lankford and William Vane Masten Jr. were united in marriage Saturday, April 5, 2008 at the Clayton Fire Hall, Clayton. The afternoon wedding was performed by the Honorable Robert B. Young.

The bride is the daughter of Roy Lankford of Lincoln and Sandy Lankford of Milford. She was given in marriage by her father.

The groom is the son of William Vane Sr. and Mary Ellen Masten of Clayton.

Matron of honor was Emily Barbara from West Haven, Connecticut. Bridesmaids were Lisa Layton of Harrington and Stephanie Bartsch of Townsend. Flower girl was Kaitlyn Davies of Milford.  

Best man was Darren Bartsch of Townsend. Groomsmen were Chuck Mann and Wilson Fox, both of Clayton. Ring bearer was Aaron Bartsch of Townsend.

The bride is a graduate of Sussex Tech High School. She is employed by Delaware Auto Sales.

The groom is a graduate of Polytech High School. He owns and operates Masten’s Electric.
A reception was held at the Clayton Fire Hall. After a honeymoon to the Caribbean islands, the newlyweds are at home in Smyrna.
