Wes White of Smyrna joined Chesapeake Indoor Percussion for the group’s inaugural season, helping to establish the ensemble that competes regionally in the Tournament Indoor Association (TIA).
In its first year, Chesapeake Indoor Percussion brought home the following awards:
• 1st place, TIA Chapter 5 Championships,
• 1st place, Winter Guard International’s Mullica Hill Regional Championships,
• Bronze Medal, Independent A Class, TIA Atlantic Coast Championships.
The group’s inaugural show, “VORTEX,” used the often turbulent music of “Tool” as a catalyst for the spinning, rotary motion designed to captivate audiences.
Chesapeake Indoor Percussion is the first operating arm of the Chesapeake Area Marching Programs (C.A.M.P), a non-profit organization with the goal of educating youth in the marching and performing arts through competitive performance. The group promotes and instills teamwork, commitment to excellence, and professionalism in its members.
