The Tilton Society’s annual Tilton Award, which recognizes medical achievements in the State of Delaware, is slated for a gala from 6 to 9 p.m. April 28 in the ballroom of the Tilton Mansion, 805 N. Broom St., Wilmington.
This year’s nominees are Ali Hameli, pathology-forensic, Pathology-Anatomical; G. Dean MacEwen, surgery-orthopedic, Nemours; and Nicholas Petrelli, surgery-oncological, surgery-general, Christiana Care. Nominees were selected by a panel that included board members from the Medical Society of Delaware, the Tilton Preservation Society and the University and Whist Club.
The physical award is a bronze bust of Dr. James Tilton, created by sculptress Olga Nielsen. The gala will include hors d’oeuvres and a three-course gourmet dinner.
