The woman was treated and released from Bayhealth Hospital Kent Campus.

Dover police are looking for the driver who sideswiped a woman driver, causing her to run off the road and strike a tree.

Dover Police Department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said the driver, described as a heavyset white man with a goatee, drove off without stopping to investigate or help.

At about 11:31 a.m. Tuesday, April 11 on Kenton Road, just north of College Road, the woman said, she was being tailgated while driving north when the other driver tried to pass her while crossing the double-yellow line. The man hit the woman’s vehicle, causing her to drive off the road and into the tree.

The woman sustained minor injuries and was treated and released from Bayhealth Hospital Kent Campus.
