A 67-year-old man was injured in a shooting in Smyrna Thursday night

A 67-year-old man was injured in a shooting on Lincoln Street in Smyrna Thursday night.

At about 10 p.m., Smyrna police responded to a report of a shooting in the unit block of Lincoln Street which is one block east of Main Street.

A group of people standing near a car were shot at by an unknown suspect or suspects, police said.

The 67-year-old man was hit in the buttocks by gunfire. He was transported to Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital where he was treated and released, police said.

A parked car was damaged in the incident.
