The Delaware City Boat Ramp, located within Fort DuPont State Park, and the Augustine Beach Boat Ramp, located south of Port Penn, will be closed temporarily this month to allow contractors to replace pilings that hold floating docks in place, the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control Division of Fish & Wildlife announced.

Shoreline fishing access will be unaffected in both locations.

The Delaware City Boat Ramp is slated to be closed June 8-9, reopening June 10, while the Augustine Beach Boat Ramp will be closed June 13-14, reopening June 15.

On the dates the ramps are closed, boaters who regularly launch at Delaware City may opt to use the Augustine Beach Boat Ramp, located approximately 5 miles south of Delaware City Boat Ramp; boaters who regularly launch at Augustine Beach may opt to use the Delaware City Boat Ramp, located approximately 5 miles north of the Augustine Beach Boat Ramp.
