Smyrna High School alum Greg Reed was recently appointed CEO of HomeServe Membership, the U.K. membership business of HomeServe, the international Home Assistance company.
Reed, 47, was born and brought up in the Smyrna area, graduating from Smyrna High School in 1987. He then went on to earn a bachelor's in finance from Pennsylvania State University and a Juris Doctor from the Widener University Delaware Law School. In 1995, Reed went to work for MBNA Corp. in Wilmington.
Reed moved with his wife Melissa, also a Smyrna High alum, to the U.K. with MBNA in 2000 and rose through the organization to eventually run the $18 billion U.K. credit card business. After MBNA, Reed took a senior role with Royal Bank of Scotland in Edinburgh before joining HomeServe as U.K. chief marketing officer in 2013.
In his new role, Reed will run a $420 million revenue business employing more than 3,000 People across the UK.
Reed and his wife live in Edinburgh, Scotland, with their three children Jacob, Jessica and Harrison and Piper, their border collie. The family return to the U.S. every summer to stay with their family.
