A 34-year-old woman from Smyrna scratched her $25 Instant Game ticket while on lunch break May 22 and won a top prize in the Delaware Lottery’s $250,000 Cash Instant Game.
The married woman, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased the winning ticket at Speedway on North DuPont Highway in New Castle.
The winner told Lottery officials that she previously won $5,000, but this is her largest win to date. She has been playing the lottery on and off for about two years and doesn’t have a specific method or process for buying tickets.
The winner plans to use her prize money to pay off bills and spoil her children
She claimed her $250,000 prize at Lottery Headquarters on May 22.
