Autism Delaware announced the 2017 Blue Jean Ball, presented by Hertrich Toyota, will take place from 7 to 11 p.m. Sept. 22 at Nassau Valley Vineyards, 32165 Winery Way, Lewes.
Southern Delaware’s fundraiser is being organized by new Autism Delaware Blue Jean Ball Committee co-chairs Shawn Dougherty and Lauren Fritz-Mariner. Dougherty is an attorney and partner at Weik, Nitsche & Dougherty, and Fritz-Mariner is a wealth management advisor with Merrill Lynch.
Attendees will dance to the music of Dewey Beach rock band Love Seed Mama Jump while enjoying Delaware’s first winery.
Tickets are $85 per person. Proceeds from ticket sales, as well as the proceeds from the live and silent auctions, sponsorships and donations, benefit Autism Delaware’s statewide programs and services, including Productive Opportunities for Work & Recreation, a program that supports adult employment for Delaware’s autism community.
