The Smyrna-Clayton Fourth of July Parade will start at 9:30 a.m. at St. Polycarp Church at South Street and Ransom Lane. Fireworks are planned in Smyrna and Middletown at dusk.
The Smyrna-Clayton Fourth of July Parade will start at St. Polycarp Church at South Street and Ransom Lane. The parade will travel from South Street, turn left on North High Street, turn right on West Commerce Street, turn left on North Main Street, cross Glenwood Avenue, and end at George C. Wright Jr. Municipal Park on North Main Street.

Fireworks on Duck Creek Parkway, Smyrna, with parking available at Smyrna High School and Smyrna Middle School.
The parade and fireworks are being organized by the Smyrna-Clayton July 4th Foundation. For more information, call Bob Merrill at 653-6809.
Fireworks are planned for dusk, about 9 p.m., at Silver Lake Park, 200 E. Cochran St., Middletown. Rain date July 5.
Visitors to the fireworks may enter Silver Lake Park starting at 6 p.m. Non-profit vendors may sell items, but a vending permit is required by calling 378-5670 to register.
No dogs, personal fireworks or open flames are allowed in the park.
There is no planned parade in Middletown this year.
