The Delaware State Police and The American Legion held Trooper Youth Week graduation exercises June 30 at the Delaware State Police Training Academy in Dover.

Thirteen men and women were awarded their graduation certificates.

Graduating cadets were Jacob Abbott, Conrad High School; Jenna D. Beers, Sussex Academy; Benjamin W. Conrad, Cab Calloway School of the Arts; Brian J. Dennis, Brandywine High School; Jacob A. Engelskirch, Delmar High School; Noah A. Faircloth, Collierville High School; Erica M. Graves, First State Military Academy; Charles N. Lane, William Penn High School; Dylan J. Lane, Polytech High School; Mehrab A. Noor, Newark High School; Nadira J. Pratt, William Penn High School; Simran Sethi, Mark’s High School; and Noah G. Tuohey, MOT Charter High School.

In addition to the daily physical fitness schedule, the cadets attended classes that ranged from crash investigation to evidence detection and fraud investigation. During the week, the cadets took up residence at the academy to give them a better understanding about the profession of law enforcement and what it takes to become a police officer.
