Delaware State Police have arrested a boyfriend and girlfriend in a series of residential burglaries that took place in the Lincoln area.

The burglaries occurred between April and June of 2017 at locations on Greentop Road, Mayhew Drive, Fleatown Road and Cubbage Pond Road. The couple, 32-year-old Christopher S. Malvas and 30-year-old Cheryl L. Bracey, both of Lincoln, would break into houses and outbuildings that were unoccupied at the time and remove electronic devices, currency, jewelry, lawn equipment, scrap metal and power tools and then attempt to sell or trade the items for drugs.

Malvas was charged with six counts of burglary, two counts of possession of burglar tools, nine counts of theft, two counts of attempted burglary, four counts of attempted theft, eight counts of conspiracy, six counts of criminal mischief, unlawful use of a credit card and resisting arrest. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $81,800 cash bond.

Bracey was charged with three counts of burglary, seven counts of theft, two counts of attempted burglary, seven counts of conspiracy, three counts of criminal mischief, possession of burglar tools, attempted theft, unlawful use of a credit card and resisting arrest. She was committed to Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institution on $14,750 secured bond.
