Initial report from Delaware Department of Transportation was that potholes were being patched Aug. 24 and 25, but now DelDOT has announced a larger project on Duck Creek Road between VanDyke Greenspring Road and U.S. Route 13

Intermittent lane closures that started Aug. 24 on Duck Creek Road are scheduled to continue through Sept. 8 for a repaving project.

The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) first reported that the project involved patching potholes after construction started Aug. 24.

Today, Aug. 25, DelDOT has announced the project will include more than pothole patching.

After the construction crew members finish patching, they will begin milling and paving on Duck Creek Road starting Monday, Aug. 28 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., said Louise A. Holt, DelDOT public information office.

The work is scheduled to continue through Friday, Sept. 8, but with no work on Labor Day weekend.

The project includes milling and paving on Duck Creek Road between VanDyke Greenspring Road and U.S. Route 13 near the Shell gas station, just north of Smyrna.
