Heroin, crack found.

A Bridgeville man was arrested for illegal drug possession on Tuesday, Sept. 26.

Around 11:30 a.m., a Delaware State Police trooper, on patrol in the area of North Mill Park Drive in Bridgeville, spotted a tan Chevrolet Caprice stopped in the roadway and someone standing at the driver's side window. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt, and the trooper stopped the car as it was pulling away.

The driver, 33-year-old Willie W. Massey, had a suspended driver's license and two capiases out of Sussex County courts, and bundles of suspected heroin and a bag of suspected crack cocaine were found on the ground where he exited the vehicle. Massey was arrested and taken to Troop 5. When he got out of the rear seat of the patrol vehicle, more heroin bundles were found on the seat In total, 221 bags (1.547 grams) of heroin, 13.51 grams of crack cocaine, and more than $2,100.00 in suspected drug proceeds were seized.

Massey was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (crack cocaine), possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (heroin), possession of a controlled substance (crack cocaine), possession of a controlled substance (heroin), tampering with physical evidence, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended or revoked and other traffic-related offenses. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $45,602 secured bond.
