Police department's pink patrol car will be visiting businesses and organizations in and around Smyrna, collecting donations and providing information about breast cancer screenings and programs.

Town of Smyrna employees wore pink on Monday to support the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Smyrna Police Chief Norman Wood brought the department’s pink-and-black patrol car to the Town Hall for a photo to help highlight the cause.

The breast cancer awareness car will be at the following locations in the Smyrna area where people can find information on breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, make a donation, and sign the car with a special silver magic marker as a breast cancer survivor or in memory of a loved one who died of breast cancer.
