Similar incidents occurred on Sunday and Monday

Delaware State police are investigating the third incident of robbery with a sharp instrument in eastern Sussex County over the past three days.

Investigation has determined the latest incident occurred around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7, when a male suspect, armed with a sharp instrument, entered the Shell Food Mart at 24851 John J. Williams Highway (formerly known as the Dash In) in the Long Neck area. The suspect approached the clerk at the counter and demanded cash from the register; the clerk complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The clerk was not injured.

The suspect is described a black male between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 6 inches tall and was wearing dark clothing.
