Local farm supply retailer Southern States Cooperative is raising money to help animals in the fight against hunger with a Puppy Paw Donation Drive beginning Nov. 20 to raise funds for local animal shelters in need.

Customers can purchase a paper puppy paw emblem for $1 that the company will display in stores. Southern States will use the proceeds to purchase and deliver pet food to local shelters in need in the store’s area.

Southern States Cooperative has six locations in Southern Delaware: 900 N. Broad St., Middletown; 227 School Lane, Clayton; 7308 Williamsville Road, Milford; 200 Allen St., Seaford; 102 Deshields Road, Laurel; and 28326 Clayton St., Dagsboro.

The animal food drive will run through Dec. 10. Donations can be made at any local participating Southern States location.
