The election of November 2018 already is under way
Caesar Rodney School District board member William Bush has announced his candidacy for the 29th House District seat now held by State Rep. W. Charles “Trey” Paradee.
Bush formally filed his candidacy with the Department of Elections Nov. 17.
Paradee, a Democrat, has announced he is giving up the 29th District seat to run as a candidate for the state Senate District 17, held by retiring Sen. Brian Bushweller.
Justin King, currently the mayor of Camden, announced Nov.19 he will set up a committee to explore his options to run as a Republican for Bushweller’s seat. Two other Republican hopefuls, Jason Stewart and Donyale Hall, already have announced, setting up a possible primary contest for the GOP nomination.
King has been mayor of Camden since 2010.
Neither King, Stewart nor Hall officially has filed to run for office.
