A red sedan was seen fleeing the scene.

UPDATE: Delaware State Police are investigating an incident in which a shot was fired at a residence in the 400 block of Bay Avenue in Slaughter Beach, for the second time in one week.

The first incident occurred around 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18. The second, most recent incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24. In both cases, the homeowner was in his residence when he heard a shot fired and a car speeding off. In both cases, a bullet hole was found in the exterior of the home. 

At this time, there are no suspects, however, a red sedan was seen fleeing from the scene after the second incident.

This case remains under investigation and Delaware State Police are requesting anyone with information to contact Troop 4 Major Crimes Unit at 302-856-5850. Delaware State Police are investigating an incident in which shots were fired in Slaughter Beach.

The incident occurred at around 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, at a residence in the 400 block of Bay Avenue. The homeowner contacted 911 after he heard gunshots outside and, upon investigation, noticed a bullet hole in the front door of his residence. The homeowner was not injured as a result of this incident.

At this time there are no suspects.
