A narcotics search warrant was executed in the 1400 block of Holletts Corner Road west of Clayton by the Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit assisted by the Kent County Governor's Task Force and the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team.

Two Clayton-area residents were arrested on drug charges today, Wednesday, Dec. 13, after an investigation by multiple police agencies.

A narcotics search warrant was executed in the 1400 block of Holletts Corner Road west of Clayton by the Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit assisted by the Kent County Governor's Task Force and the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team.

Two suspects identified as Darlene N. Reed, 54, of Clayton and Donald L. Reed, 53, of Clayton were taken into custody without incident.

A search of the property resulted in the recovery of 0.81 grams of heroin, nine 8-milligram Suboxone strips, eight 12-milligram Suboxone strips, 57 rounds of .22 caliber ammunition, and multiple drug paraphernalia items, police said.

Darlene Reed was charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, second-degree conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $18,500 secured bond.

Donald Reed was charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, second-degree conspiracy, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of ammunition by a person prohibited. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $13,500 unsecured bond.
