For the past 40 plus years Santa has been escorted around the Town of Clayton on a fire truck and a pulled trailer. But this year a new sleigh for Santa has been unveiled by the Clayton Fire Company.

Santa will have a new sleigh when he visits the children in Clayton on Christmas Eve before beginning his ride around the world.

For the past 40 plus years Santa has been escorted around the Town of Clayton on a fire truck and a pulled trailer.

But this year a new sleigh for Santa has been unveiled by the Clayton Fire Company.

Past Chief and Past President William R. "Skip" Carrow came up with the idea to update Santa’s ride for 2017 and enlisted the help of Odessa Fire Company Deputy Fire Chief Tom Shoemaker to design and build a new Santa Sled. After about 200 hours of work, it looks just like the real one Santa uses for his around the world ride.
