It's unknown if the two incidents are related.

The Delaware State Police are investigating two shootings that occurred in Milton and Lincoln on Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.

The first incident was reported at about 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9, when troopers were dispatched to a local hospital and informed of a shooting by hospital staff. Allegedly, the 23-year-old victim, a male, was walking in the area of Fisher and Hudson Roads in Milton between 5:30 and 6 p.m. when he was shot once in a lower extremity. He was transported to the hospital by a personal vehicle and was treated and later released.

The suspect in this incident was described as a black male, about 6 feet tall and180 pounds with a full beard. He wearing a dark-colored hoodie and blue jeans and was driving a black, 4-door passenger car.

The second incident occurred around 1 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 10, when troopers were again dispatched to a local hospital for a report of a shooting. Hospital staff informed them that the incident occurred around midnight. Allegedly, the 42-year old victim, also a male, was outside of his residence in the 22000 block of Pine Haven Road in Lincoln when he sustained a single gunshot wound to a lower extremity. He was also transported to the hospital by a personal vehicle, where he was admitted with a non-life threatening injury.

No suspect information could be provided in the second incident.
