Angel M. Colón, Spanish interpreter and legal assistant of the Morris James Personal Injury Group, was among those honored at the Delaware Hispanic Black Tie Awards held April 6 at the Grand Opera House in Wilmington.

More than 300 people were in attendance to honor those recognized for excellence and contribution to the Hispanic Community. Colón was the recipient of the award for Best Legal Assistant.

The Delaware Hispano Magazine Awards offers an opportunity to highlight individuals who work hard for the community, but often go without recognition. The awards ceremony is a time to celebrate their successes with their families and to feel valued by the Hispanic community. Colón has worked at Morris James for 18 years as legal assistant and Spanish interpreter for the personal injury group.

Colón enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. They are active members of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, where they participate in various church activities that service the Spanish community.
