Where Pigs Fly hosted a Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony April 11 to celebrate 25 years in business.

The event was attended by Mayor Robin Christiansen, current and former staff members, chamber members and restaurant patrons.

Tom and Kelly Devine are the owners and operators of Where Pigs Fly Restaurant, 617 E. Loockerman St., Dover. Specializing in barbecue, they offer full-service catering or delivery and set-up for all occasions; for groups of 15 to 2,500.

“The customers are the most important,” said Kelly. “I believe that if you take good care of the customers, they will take care of you. But I love the food aspect — we smoke baby back ribs, pork, chicken and brisket daily. We also prepare all our salads. Our customers’ favorite is broccoli salad. My staff and I take a lot of pride in making sure the food is prepared properly.”
