Timothy Elliott, Jr., charged with multiple felonies

Delaware State Police have arrested a Millsboro man in connection with multiple burglaries and other offenses.

On Tuesday, June 5, at 5:30 a.m., troopers were dispatched to the 36000 block of Pine Drive, in the Mariner’s Cove development, for a report of a domestic disturbance. The homeowner had been awoken by loud noises outside and discovered a plethora of stolen property surrounding his residence and his son, 48-year-old Timothy R. Elliott Jr., inside a neighbor's boat attempting to remove a seat.

Troopers found numerous large appliances, heavy landscaping stones, copper piping, furniture, lumber, an HVAC unit, toilets, and a kitchen sink and countertop, amongst other things. The investigation revealed that Elliott had dismantled and removed the interior contents of five neighboring, seasonal residences.

Prior to the trooper's arrival, Elliott had fled on foot. With the assistance of Troop 7 K-9 Fifo, he was discovered hiding in the crawlspace to his residence.

Elliott was charged with three counts of felony third-degree burglary, two counts of felony possession of burglary tools, three counts of felony theft, two counts of criminal mischief, two counts of theft, resisting arrest and two counts of criminal trespass. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $13,002 secured bond.
