The woman was found unresponsive at a Firefly camping ground

Dover police are investigating the death of a Philadelphia woman found unresponsive in one of the camping areas at the Firefly Music Festival.

Dover Police Department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said police were called to Camping Lot 18 at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday, June 17.

The unconscious woman, identified as Caroline Friedman, was treated on the scene by medical staff and then taken to Bayhealth Hospital’s Kent campus, where she was pronounced dead at 6:55 a.m.

Hoffman added the cause of Friedman's death is not known, but that foul play is not suspected. An official cause of death is dependent upon autopsy and toxicology results, he said.
