Erin Chisenhall, of Rehoboth, arrested

A Rehoboth woman was charged with resisting arrest and other offenses Saturday night in Country Club Estates.

At around 8:30 p.m. on June 30, Rehoboth Beach police responded to Sandalwood Street, where a 25-year-old male victim was bleeding from his forehead. Investigation determined that the injuries were allegedly caused by his girlfriend, 24-year-old Erin N. Chisenhall, punching him multiple times.

Police were able to locate Chisenhall in the area. She showed signs of intoxication. Officers were forced to restrain her when she ignored their commands and attempted to walk away from them. As she was being taken into custody, she kicked one officer in the leg multiple times.       

Chisenhall was arrested and charged felony resisting arrest with force or violence, offensive touching of a law enforcement officer, third-degree assault and disorderly conduct. She was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $1,800 cash secured bail.
