Video: One American flag set out Sept. 11 on a mission to cover more than 4,300 miles across the United States.

The Old Glory Relay passed through Delaware Saturday, Sept. 22. This effort by Team Red, White and Blue intends to relay one American flag more than 4,300 miles across the United States. More than 5,000 people are expected to take part. The flag began its journey Sept. 11 and by Sept. 21 had made its way to Philadelphia. Saturday morning it crossed into Delaware, was handed over to a group of runners at Dover International Speedway, and was carried to Pearson’s Corner. There it was handed off to bicyclists who would carry it as far as the Chesapeake Bay.
