Bruce Plummer of Lewes was named 2018 Delaware Realtor of the Year.
The award was presented by Bayard Williams, 2018 president of the Delaware Association of Realtors, during the association’s annual convention and trade show held at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino.
The award honors the Delaware Realtor whose service has delivered a positive impact to realtor organizations on the national, state and local levels, and the real estate industry and community.
Plummer was 2017 president of DAR and served on national, state and local committees throughout the year, including those focused on professional standards and public policy. He holds designations and certifications granted by the National Association of Realtors, including accredited buyer’s representative, certified real estate broker and certified residential specialist. He is the broker and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Resort Realty. Plummer will represent Delaware at the upcoming NAR annual Conference & Expo in Boston.
Three other realtors were recognized at the DAR convention for volunteer efforts that had a positive impact in their local communities. Skip Faust, from the Sussex County Association of Realtors; Terri Sensing, from the New Castle County Association of Realtors; and Monica LeBlanc, from the Kent County Association of Realtors, were named 2018 Good Neighbors by members of their local Realtor associations.
The award honors realtors who work to improve the quality of life for their neighbors and demonstrate a commitment to make their communities a better place to live. A $1,000 donation was made by DAR to the charity of choice by each and included the Lewes Little League in Lewes; Good Neighbor Home Repair Inc. in New Castle County; and the Kent County Chapter of American Bikers Aiming Toward Education.
Other housing and community organizations recognized during the convention’s general membership meeting were the Delaware State Housing Authority, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Delaware and the Delaware Housing Opportunity Fund Inc.
