The Delaware Department of Transportation announced that Delaware Coast Line Railroad Company will be removing their railroad crossing on U.S. 9/Theodore C. Freeman Memorial Highway, requiring its closure between Cape Henlopen Drive and Kings Highway, Lewes, from 5 a.m. Oct. 15 through 11:59 p.m. Oct. 18.

Eastbound traffic should travel from U.S. 9/Theodore C. Freeman Memorial Highway to Kings Highway to Savannah Road to Cape Henlopen Drive and return to U.S. 9/Theodore C. Freeman Memorial Highway.

Westbound traffic should travel from U.S. 9/Theodore C. Freeman Memorial Highway to Cape Henlopen Drive to Savannah Road to Kings Highway and back to U.S. 9/Theodore C. Freeman Memorial Highway.
