59-year-old Jacquelyn S. Peruchi, of Seaford, arrested

The Delaware State Police have arrested a Seaford woman after she struck her boyfriend with her vehicle in Lewes.

The incident occurred at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, when troopers were dispatched to the 35000 block of  North Drive in West Bay Park for a report of a domestic. They found a 48-year-old male laying on the ground who advised that his leg had been run over.

Further investigation revealed that the victim and his girlfriend, 59-year-old Jacquelyn S. Peruchi, had had an argument, during which she entered her vehicle, put it in reverse and struck the victim. He was transported to Beebe Medical Center and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Peruchi was charged with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, second-degree assault recklessly intentional serious injury, second-degree reckless endangering and disorderly conduct. She was committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $23,001 secured bond.
